Road tested!

I have had my costume for 2 ½ years and travel all over the US with it, mostly by air and as you can see the boots have held up and the armor has too. No breaks or cracks. As with anything minor touch up is needed from time to time, but Barry walked me through of the how to and they look as great as the day I got them. The best part is that I have never had to send anything back for repairs. They have been from Florida to Michigan to Los Angeles and points in between doing all types of events for outdoors to all types of stages.

What is so funny is the reaction from the Airlines and TSA that have to see what’s in side of the case and their comments have been all the same, “This is too cool.” Or “Where did you get these? I’ve been a KISS fan for years!” Oh yea, I now have the Sonic Boom and it hold it own on the road! This stuff is built to last!

Recently, Barry Carr build me my tailor made Gene Simmons Sonic Boom Costume.

It was a dream come true!

Last January I auditioned for Dutch Kiss tributeband "Kiss on the Rocks" (www.kissontherocks.com).

Boy was I happy when they hired me as their demon!

Obviously, they wanted me to look one on one, and they told me about this "Barry Carr".

We got in touch via his friend Jerry, and this is when the adventure started.

To make a long story short, everything, and I mean really everything, came true. Barry and Jerry took time, listened to all our requests and made this a comfortable process. Yes, it’s serious $$$, but it’s worth every dime. These are the true professionals! You can imagine ordering something of the internet, having it ship across the ocean without meeting the builders, makes one a little nervous. No reason whatsoever: the costume and boots came in in perfect condition. I am so proud of my costume; it is incredible beautiful.

People I have spent my life at this..I admire the men whom make up KISS both past & present...

This is my way of showing them I want to work with them...I want to give you the KISS ARMY the best not second hand knock offs....I have alot of haters out there...but you know what....that means...I gotta be doing it great...Look at KISS....I still have the newspaper where they said...these guys in this band better be saving their money they won't be around long....that was decades ago...They persued their dreams...never said die...nor will I!

YET...ANOTHER SATISFIED CUSTOMER...

Being a diehard KISS fan, I always wanted Gene’s boots. I tried my hand at it, but was not satisfied at all. I came across Barry purely by accident on eBay. I contacted him about purchasing a set of Sonic Boom shells. I got the shells relatively quick and was blown away…they looked great. After some time, I decided to contact Barry again about attaching them to my Rock the Nation boots along with making me leggings. He said he could and to send him the boots & shells. Well, I got the boots back and to my surprise, he permanently attached the leggings to the boots and sealed and finished the back of the shells. What I got was a complete pair of rockin’ Sonic Boom Boots. No worrying about this piece and that piece or if things look rite….he took all those worries away. My daughter which is a big KISS fan asked if they were Gene’s when she seen them, when I told her no, she said that they were still cool anyway and tried them on.
Now a word of advice, Barry takes his work very seriously. He has a real passion for his art. Treat him right and he will treat you right. He goes above and beyond what is asked of him. Thanks Barry for a job well done…

For about 2 months I did research on the internet looking for a pair of KISS boots. I saw several auctions on Ebay for leggings and boot shells, I contacted a seller named "Baldguy" he told me his shells would only fit certain sizes of boots and to make them fit I would either have to heat them up with a heat gun and try to put them on myself or send my boots to him and he would put them on by using a hot glue gun. If I'm going to spend over $200.00 I want them done the correct way. The 2nd guy I spoke with was Curtis Clark he seemed liked a nice guy and he had references but when I would speak to them about Curtis's work they were more interested in bashing Barry Carr than saying anything about Curtis's work. Both Curtis and "Baldguy" will tell you that Barry Carr is a fraud and a rip off artist, that is their entire sales pitch to get you to buy from them. I looked on this website http://www.kisscostumes.blogspot.com/ and come to find out that is Barry's page and it show's all the feedback and pictures of his customers wearing Barry's finished products and it all looked amazing!!Even some of the people bashing Barry's work were on here promoting his work with photos of them wearing the products.

I decided to contact Barry through Facebook and see what the deal really was, I told him what I was looking for and all the crap I was going through just to get a pair of boots. Within a matter of minutes I was on the phone with Barry discussing how he makes his boots and costumes compared to the other guys. Immediately I knew that I was dealing with a professional and that I would be doing business with him.

I'm just a regular guy who has been a huge KISS fan since middle school and all I want is other KISS fans to get their money's worth and not get ripped off. With Barry your going to get the real thing, his boots are not held together with hot glue and dry wall screws. And Curtis Clark & Baldguy admitted they build their stuff in this manner Yes!! these other guys might be appealing cause they are cheaper, but you get what you pay for. Don't settle like I almost did and waste your money on a knock off pair of boots. Take the time like me and contact Barry Carr for the "real deal" KISS ARMY!!!!
