First of all my respect and total admiration to Mr Barry Carr, I am a
professional musician and although the music I do is a distant genre
from rock and roll I've always been a huge fan of this music and an
admirer of one of the most fabulous bands of all time KISS. So my story
with the Gene Simmons Monster suit goes like this, at early 2014 we in
the band decided that we would wear something special for this years
Halloween since we always use a uniform in the band we would try a
costume for that day. so I saw this an opportunity to dress as The
Demon, I started to surf the net looking for the right thing and there
where some cheap options of buying or renting but I didn't liked the
quality offered and when I was about to give up I came upon Mr Carr's
blog, man this looked like real thing, all the pics, the other satisfied
customer, I didn't give it a second thought and contacted this man,
long story short, the armor arrived on time, craftsmanship at its best,
my wife was astonished when I tried on, the day of our concert band
mates where so surprised when I showed up all dressed up and audience
went crazy, man I was a big success that night, although I got to
confess that is a suffering to perform like this when you are not use to
this but I had a blast, I had one of the best nights, next week there
was some radio station awards in Los Angeles and all people that I
encountered from the industry that saw me on the social media was giving
compliments and saying I was the best dressed on this years Halloween, I
had great experience and I get to bring a supercool addition to my man
cave putting that armor on display.
Thank you Barry Carr, you're an artist

A very heart warming testimonial
Barry
I
was introduced to KISS by my older Brother and Sister when I was about 5
years old, and the first time I seen Gene in his Destroyer Costume I
thought where can I get a pair of those boots??!! The internet had not
been invented yet so what was a young KISS fan to do? Years go by and
then the reunion tour started and that sparked another interest to
search out the infamous Dragon Boots. Now the internet had been around
for awhile by then and Ebay was running strong. Unfortunately all I was
able to find was boot shell halves. Not glued together and I would
have been happy with that, but I did not come across them very often. I
wanted a pair of Gene' LOVE GUN boots because I liked the look of the
black shells better then the silver that came on the Destroyer Costume.
So a few more years go by and I would do a few searches a month or so
to see if anything new has come up from the boots, and the first real
KISS boots that I came across was Motor Cowboy. I tried to contact them
several times but never got a reply from them. Then I found a guy I
think his name was Dave McBrayer. I was able to get a reply from him
and I told him what I wanted and he told me he could do it and would get
back to me in a couple of days with a price. I never heard from him
again. I was still determined to have my boots since the searches were
getting better and better every year I knew something or someone had to
turn up. Now I think the year is 2007 maybe 2008 and I was doing more
searches and came across this blog and it had these amazing pictures of
all the members boots... It was Barry and his blog. I would stare at
his pictures of his boots for hours on a daily basis and I was so blown
away by how perfect they looked that I had to get in contact with Barry
to see how much he charges. I called him and we had a brief
conversation and It just wasn't a good time for me to spend that kind of
money on a "want" item when there was more important "need" items I had
to buy. I would still go to Barry's Blog every day to keep up with all
the cool stuff he would be working on and putting out and I knew one
day I going to just put my want needs before my need needs and buy a
pair of LOVE GUN boots from Barry. Now it's 2014 and I was out of debt
and had enough money saved up to do whatever I wanted so I said screw it
if I don't get them now I probable never will. It was hard for me to
justify spending the money on something so impractical, but any KISS fan
will through all logic out the window when you start collected KISS
stuff. I sent Barry a message and he tells me to call him so we could
discuss all the details of what I wanted. I told him I wanted a pair of
Gene Love Gun boots but without the leggings shin guards and he was a
little concerned about the odd request but he did everything I asked and
could not have been any more accommodating and was very professional. I
did mention to him that I have always wanted a Gene Destroyer costume
and he said he could do it and set up a payment option so it wasn't so
much of a burden all at once. I told him let's wait and see how I
like the Love Gun boots before I decide to start a Destroyer Costume. I
already knew that once I seen the Love Gun boots I would want the
Destroyer costume, but I was trying to be a responsible adult but that
KISS logic kept me from being an adult and I ordered the Destroyer
costume right after getting my Love Gun boots. Now don't get me wrong I
had all the uneasy skeptical feeling that I'm sure any of you have
about buying something from someone off the internet. You always read
about the horror stories about people getting ripped off and never
getting anything from it, But I'm sure anyone who has read any of these
testimonies that you already know that Barry will do and get you
everything you ask of him. He is the Best and most professional KISS
costume builder that I have ever dealt with. I can guarantee you that I
will be back for more and will never lose any sleep over doing business
with Barry Carr. He is the best there is, the best there was, and the
best there ever will be!!!
Thank you Barry
